Actress Anjali Patil who has worked in critically acclaimed film like Chakravyuh and Newton attended trailer launch of her upcoming Marathi film ‘The Silence’ along with Nagraj Manjule and filmmaker Gajendra Ahirey on Monday in Mumbai .While interacting with media, Anjali stated that she always try to find internal satisfaction as an actor while working in the film.

Anjali has won national award (Special mention) for Telugu film ‘Naa Bangaaru Talli’ and she is also recipient of international film award as well. Recently her Hindi film Newton has declared as India’s official entry for The Oscars, so when asked her how she deals with success in her film career, she said, “I am a human being so if feels good when your film does well. It’s a universal feeling but I feel, life doesn’t depend on these things and that I have learned over a period of time. I have gone through ups and down in life so awards, box-office collection and hits, these things are external for me. I always try to find internal satisfaction as an actor and it is more important for me other than these things.”

Talking about her upcoming film ‘The Silence’, she said, “The Silence talks about many issues which we as a society, don’t want to talk. It deals with child abuse and domestic violence. It’s an intense and hard-hitting film. As an artist, I want to be associated with passionate people about film. Ashwini who is producer of the film, she also has written screen play of the film and she was very passionate to release this film. This film is complete since 2 years but it wasn’t releasing because distributors wasn’t ready to release the film which deals with serious issues but finally it is releasing in Hindi and Marathi so it feels good.”

When asked her what’s the difference in working style in different languages, she said, “I am a Maharashtrian girl and my mother tongue is Marathi so I didn’t had any issues working in this film. I feel there is difference in each film’s set, even in Bollywood, we make different kind of films. If you go any part of the country, there will be different culture so there will be different kind of culture and experience with every film so I don’t compare film in that manner.”

“Having said that, if you are working in Marathi film, then there is casual, family kind of atmosphere while shooting the film, otherwise in terms of work, there is not much of difference and more than I always try to focus on aspects like my role, script and the director”

When asked her what elements she looks in the film before signing it, Anjali said, “While choosing a film a film, I see things like script, vision of the director, intension of making a film and my role but all these aspect doesn’t necessarily come together each time while working in a film; you can’t get package deal so whenever I get something interesting on these lines then I try to be part of that project. This is my first Marathi film. I had amazing time working with Ashwini and Gajendra sir while making the film and I always wanted to work with Nagraj (director of Marathi blockbuster Sairaat) so, ‘The Silence’ was such film in which script, my character and intension of making film interested me that’s why I decided to be part of this film”.
