Aamir Khan interacted with media at the trailer launch of the ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘ on Thursday alongside cast Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and director Vijay Krishna Acharya.

Now a days no matter how promising a film seems or what cast it has there is no guarantee the film will generate great box office numbers. When asked if director Vijay Krishna Acharya is nervous for the film’s release, Actor Aamir Khan said, ” I don’t know about Vijay but I am very scared.”

The director himself also responded, “If we weren’t scared we wouldn’t be here before you’ll.”

Katrina who has been seen performing high action sequences in films like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, was expected to have a similar role in the fantasy film. But the film’s trailer shows her in a different light.

When asked to comment about the same she said, “Each film has a different character and in every film we look for something different. So what I am doing in Thugs is very different from Tiger Zinda hai. That was a completely separate film and was an action franchise. In this film my role is definitely less of the action and more of the other elements that are required for a film like this. So in terms of action training there wasn’t much required but a lot of other kind of work has been put into this character.

The full length trailer introduces Amitabh Bachchan as a thug called Azad, whose gang of thugs posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India during the early 19th century. His gangs of pirates opposes East India Company and believe in freedom go on a battle against tyranny. Where as Aamir Khan is a con-man, with special sets of skills, who is called in to infiltrate the gang and destroy it from within, but as luck would have it, he is the biggest rebel.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the movie releases on 8th November 2018.
