I don’t compare my films with the one I am watching : Kangana Ranaut on Raazi’s success

Actress Kangana Ranaut who is busy shooting for her upcoming film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ said she never compares two films and their success.

Kangana Ranuat interacted with media when after watching Meghana Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’ on Monday in Mumbai.

Kangana praised Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Raazi’ for her performance and the directors art when asked whether she thinks that her upcoming film ‘Manikarnika’ will create similar success at box office, she said, “When I watch other actor’s work, I don’t compare my film with the one I am watching. When I watch a film, I only think about that actor. Raazi’s film cast and crew deserve all the credit for the success of the film.”

Kangana’s next anticipated film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, had been rumored to hit theaters in April. However, according to latest reports, the released date of the period drama was been pushed further.

Reacting to the delay in the release of the film, Kangana said, “If you see, we started shooting of ‘Manikarnika’ in the month of May last year and now it’s been only one year since we started shooting for the film. We launched the film in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on 5th May and we started shooting for it in June-July last year. I think when you make a film on huge scale then it normally takes one or one and half year but I can say that this year the film we will be able to release the film.”

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an epic biographical film based on the life of Jhansi queen- Rani Laxmibai . And the title role of Rani Laxmibai is played by Kangana Ranaut. It also stars Sonu Sood and Ankita Lokhande in pivotal roles.
