While speaking at the event, Mithun Chakraborty stated that he doesn’t want to bore the audience by doing same repetitive roles in the films.

When asked about his absence from big screen for long period of time, Chakraborty said, “I have bored the audience so much over the years. I have done 300-350 films out of those 200 films, I myself not able to watch those films but there are some landmark films that is the reason I sustained in the industry for these many years. I don’t want to impress anyone by talking about my achievements but now, I don’t want to play those same characters again and again because I don’t have that courage and audience also doesn’t have that time to see me doing same roles”.

The Drama Company which features Krishna Abhishek who is long time rival of Kapil Sharma from long period of time so there has been constant comparison between them and their show, so when asked about competition, Mithun said, “I think, we shouldn’t compare the show because all the actors in my show are talented and on the other hand, Kapil is also most talented artist we have in this country. He is big and very huge. I feel if we can match up to him then we have done a great job”.

It is common scenario when comedian lands in trouble due to their funny remarks on certain people, reacting to that Mithun said, “Ours is family show and we will stand by it. We are not here to make fun of anybody and talk cheap things about anybody so we will try to entertain the audience in most mature way without hurting anybody’s sentiments”.

When asked him about whether audience is taking Comedy as genre lightly, Mithun said, “No one is taking comedy lightly because it has become most successful genre in terms of box-office collection. If you r film has good comedy then it is guaranteed 100 crore film at the box office. I have done films like Housefull, Entertainment, Golmaal and these all are biggest hit of that year.

Talking about creating comedy, Mithun said, “You can’t create comedy. Comedy is a situation and in that situation some things are misfit so that creates comedy and I feel there is no difference in comedy be it old time and this generation comedy. It all depends upon how you create content which is relatable to certain generation’s audience. Comedy is all about timing and in television you have to have sharp reflexes if you miss that then you are going to lose your core audience”.

Mithun Chakraborty will be playing the character of Shambhu Dada on the show who will be the owner of a drama company.
The show also features Kapil’s rival Krushna Abhishek and the former cast from Kapil’s show like Ali Asgar. The drama company will also feature TV faces like Sanket Bhosle, Ridhima Pandit, Sudesh Lehri, Sugandha Mishra and Ridhima Pandit and Sairaat Fame Tanaji Galgunde.
