Kapil Sharma was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, ‘Firangi’ on Tuesday. During media, interaction he said, he wanted Sunil to launch Firangi’s Trailer.
When asked if he would like to patch up with Sunil Grover Kapil said, “I wanted him to Launch Firangi’s trailer. I even asked him to do it but he is in Canada currently, I guess he is performing a show there. So that couldn’t be possible but is he was here he would have definitely been here.”
The actor also opened up about this depression and said he feels happy now that he had a chance to talk about it openly. “After reading what all media was publishing about me, I got even more depressed. It’s upsetting that negative news is valued more on any platform. But because of it I even started to suffer from anxiety attacks. I miss my team, I can’t detach myself easily from people and things on my mind. Things like these were the reasons why I could not perform and had to cancel a few shows.”
The actor added, “But some people were very supportive, Anil Sir after seeing me in that state said that ‘ you won’t be able to do it, ‘it’s ok we will do it the next time.’ Shah Rukh Khan also came back to visit me and check-up on me, his set was right next to ours. He told me to take rest and relax my mind.”
He also revealed that he was being treated for the same in Bangalore while on a break. Kapil admitted that he is unaware how he ended up taking comfort in alcohol and how he managed to hurt himself. He also hid in his office for weeks and felt everyone in the world hated him “I will take another 3 to 4 months to recover.”
While talking about the film Kapil said, “Films about the pre-independence era have always shown the dark side but people still lived their lives and had happy moments this film talks about those moments. People will love to see the slice of life feel in the era, they will be able to see how people lived in harmony and had some small fights too. Manga my character does not feel that Brits were bad.”
The film ‘Firangi’ directed by Rajiev Dhingra is produced by Kapil Sharma and also stars Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill, Aanjjan Srivastav, Maryam Zakaria and Raju Srivastav (special appearance). The film is set during the British era and the trailer reveals that the audience will be witnessing the quirkiest fight against the Brits that has ever been seen.
‘Firangi’ is scheduled for release on 24th November 2017.
