In India, we always try to put an actor into certain bracket or genre says Amit Sadh

Amit Sadh who is gearing for the release of his forthcoming ambitious film ‘Gold’ has said that In India, we always try to put an actor into certain bracket or genre.

Amit was interacting with media on Thursday in Mumbai.

‘Gold’s lead actor Akshay Kumar nowadays known for featuring in socially relevant films so when asked Amit whether his co-actor has stuck into a specific genre of the film, Amit said, “He is not typecasting himself in any particular genre. Media is doing all this study of his films and putting him into a bracket. He is just an artist and I think he is not making any conscious effort to work a particular genre. If you see his growth as an actor over the years, I feel it is really commendable. He is an amazing actor and his understanding of his own craft is really good. In India, we always try to put an actor into certain bracket or genre which we shouldn’t do. People are not seeing that an actor is delivering top notch performances in each of his film instead of that, people start putting him into a bracket. I have seen him working in ‘Gold’, he works really hard from his heart and I think he has brought good change into the industry by working content driven films so I feel fortunate that I got opportunity to work and learn from him”

Talking about his character and response for teaser of ‘Gold’, Amit said, “Audience has appreciated teaser of ‘Gold’. I am playing hockey playing in it. I can assure that ‘Gold’ as a film will be much better than its teaser. We all have worked really hard for the film and I trained for playing hockey in the film. It’s a Reema Kagti film and her films have been always good. I am very excited for the film and I looking forward for the release of ‘Gold’ just like the audience.”

“Gold” which is a sports-drama re-creates the golden victory of independent India in hockey in 1948 at the XIV Olympiad.

Akshay Kumar portrays the character of the champion hockey player along with Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Mouni Roy featuring in it.

It is produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Reema Kagti and it is scheduled to release on Independence Day this year.
