“First time Indian content is going on such a huge platform” says Sayani Gupta about her upcoming web-series “Inside Edge”- which is based on dark side of cricket.
Farhan Akhtar produced and Karan Anshuman directed web-series “Inside Edge” chronicles the story of “Mumbai Mavericks” – A T20 cricket franchise playing in the Powerplay League.
Set in a landscape of conflicting interests and laced with selfishness, sex, money, and power are mere means to an end, Inside Edge stars an impressive ensemble of Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, Sarah-Jane Dias and many more.
“Inside Edge is my next release. We all are excited about it, let’s see what kind of reaction we’re going to get. Amazon Prime is such a huge platform; we hope that people will like it. It will showcase in around 200 countries and this is first time some content from India is going on such a huge platform” said Sayani Gupta on the sidelines of “Okja” red carpet screening.
Sayani Gupta hails from newline of character artists, who goes the extra mile to depict authentic portrayal for screen. Movies like Margarita with a Straw, Parched and Fan, saw actress in varied and different avatar and actress talks about creating “Character Synergy” on screen.
“I don’t know how much I go inside the character. But I definitely try to do it, if not than I don’t see the point of doing the character. I try to become the character and let the character become me, I try to create synergy. I am not sure how far I am able to successfully do it, I try it every time” adds Sayani.
Next Sayani will be seen in Jagga Jasoos, Jab Harry Met Sejal and Fukrey Returns.
