It was never my intention to write controversial dialogues, said Sanjay Chhel.
Sanjay Chhel, dialogue writer of Indu Sarkar during an interview on Tuesday said It was never his intention to write controversial dialogues.
“When I was writing the dialogues I never knew it will end up in a controversy. It was never my intention to write controversial dialogues. The subject and screenplay was such that aggressive dialogues were necessary. More than controversial I would like to say these lines are very powerful.” Said Sanjay Chhel.
The award winning director writer and Lyricist Sanjay Chhel spoke about his experience while working for the film, he said, “I have worked on dramatic films like Fir bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, so writing wasn’t that difficult. I have studied our history and this subject is of my interest. The challenge is to write great dialogues which reach the audience and become successful. And I will be able to see the result when the film will release on 28th July.”
Sanjay was also asked about the dialogues that CBFC (Censor Board of Film Certification) had opposed to and if they will be removed from the film, he said,“Censor board had earlier taken objection on some of the dialogues, they have been cleared now. Revising committee saw the movie, we placed our arguments and they understood that it wasn’t our intention to show anyone as the bad guy. This is a fictional story with a historical backdrop.”
Indu Sarkar by Madhur Bhandarkar is a story about Indu sarkar in an era of emergency. The film is set to release in cinemas on July 28, 2017. The film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Supriya Vinod, Kirit Kulhari and Anupam Kher.
