Rakhi Sawant who walked for the #Be with Beti Charity says Hardik Pandya‘s remark on women’s body has been very upsetting to hear.
Rakhi interacted with media at the red carpet of ‘Be with Beti Charity’ fashion show held in Mumbai.
Talking about the charity and the recent events of irresponsible behavior towards women Rakhi said, “I support this campaign and charity because it is for a very good cause we should encourage and support girls and women. We should respect women and it was very shameful to see a celebrity like Hardik Pandya say something like that. It was very upsetting, to heard what he had said on national TV.”
After the episode, three separate apologies were reportedly issued on social media, to the BCCI, to head coach Ravi Shastri and senior-most member MS Dhoni. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul who was also part of the episode, have been suspended by India’s cricket board (the BCCI) from the Australia tour.
Star TV’s online streaming service, Hotstar, has since apologized and removed the episode from their platform.
Dancer and actress Rakhi disclosed she was very nervous to walk on the ramp for the first time. When asked about her rehearsals experience she said, “When the director taught me how to walk on the ramp, for the first time I felt dancing is way more easier. I came for rehearsals regularly and I am still hoping I don’t fall on stage.”
Other celebrities present at the event to support the #BewithBeti charity were, Ajaz Khan, Vikas Gupta, Randeep Rai, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Delnaz Irani and many more.
Rakhi was last seen in a 2018 release, titled, ‘Pending Love’.
