Juice was Liberating And Fantastic – Shefali Shah

Shefali Shah was spotted at the special screening of her upcoming short film, Juice. During her media interaction, actress Shefali expressed that script of Juice was liberating and fantastic.

“My Motivation was Neeraj Ghaywan. I wanted to work with him and when I heard the script I thought it was absolutely liberating and fantastic. The part is great but it is not just about Manju (the character in the film), it is about so many women from my generation to my mother’s generation, it’s just gets carried forward. That was my reason and above all, there were no reasons, I would have said No” said Shefali.

The short film Juice features powerhouses like Manish Chaudhari and Shefali Shah. The film is directed by “Masaan” famed Neeraj Ghaywan. The Film is produced by Large Short Films.

Shefali Shah doesn’t require any introduction, her talent speaks volumes for her and the latest outing, short film Juice is just another classic example of her sheer craft and impeccable direction.

Further adding Shefali said, “It is a fantastic and great film. He is brilliant director whom I respect and admire tremendously”
Shefali Shah also talked about “Film Industry” doesn’t know what to do with the mature actress but things are changing slowly.

“It is not after marriage, it is after a certain age that suddenly women, I mean, they don’t know what to do with an actress. So either you’re 18 or 20 heroine of the film or you’re cut directly to the mother of some 30 years old. They don’t know what to do with actors in between, which is really sad. I don’t think it has to with marriage or role-playing as such, but I just think it is much bigger and wider discrepancy which is really sad” said Shefali when asked about “women” of age facing lack of roles past marriage in the film industry.

“There are fantastic roles written about women now, I have to say, I mean, I have to admit that yes it is changing. I mean there are roles for Vidya Balan, there are movies like Lipstick Under my Burkha or Pink, so there are films which are women-oriented” added Shefali.
Juice also stars Manish Chaudhari and was released on YouTube on November 22.
