Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have worked together in many hit films such as Namastey London, Humko Deewana Kargaye, Welcome and Singh Is King.
“We all are Katrina Kaif’s fan; I admire the fact that when this girl came to Indian film industry thinking she wants to work in Hindi film industry but she didn’t even know a single word in the Hindi language. But she had desire and motivation to work in Hindi films. And look at her today; she is one of the biggest superstars in our film industry that means one should have wish and desire in the heart to do something” said Akshay Kumar during the media interaction.
“I would like to thank Aditya Thackeray for supporting me every year with this event and I would like to thank my heroine, Katrina Kaif, she just got back from America, and I’d asked her to attend the event, she didn’t even take a second before agreeing to attend the tournament” added Akshay Kumar.
Katrina Kaif also hailed the gallant effort put by Akshay Kumar to empower girls and encourage self-defence.
“Thank you so much, Akshay Kumar, for inviting me here, I had such wonderful time. I’d got a chance to watch such amazing talent and skill here. I want to say that thanks so much to Akshay for what he is doing here. I think it is really incredible and I think we should have admiration for what he does here. It is really a good lesson to us all, to support society and everyone” said Kaif.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is bust wrapping Padman, Gold and 2.0, which are slated for release in 2018.
Katrina Kaif is busy with the post-production on Tiger Zinda Hai, opposite Salman Khan. The movie is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will hit cinema halls on Christmas 2017.
