Versatile and Quirky Actor Kunal Kapoor was spotted at the Grand launch of a fitness center here in Mumbai. During his media interaction, Kunal confirmed working with Akshay Kumar and hailed him as the fittest actor.
“I am working with Akshay Kumar right now and he is incredibly fit. He is somebody who during the time off wants to play volleyball or cricket, he comes to sets on a bicycle. So he is somebody who is incredibly fit and he really makes an effort to keep fit” said Kunal Kapoor talking about Gold and the most-fit actor.
Gold is a sports film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. It is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh Sr., who was on the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948.
Talking about playing a hockey player, Kunal Kapoor stated that they took extensive training in learning the sports.
“Gold is a film where we all are hockey players. We took 3-4 months training for the movie. And to pick a whole new sport requires a lot of fitness and hard work” added Kunal.
Kunal Kapoor has always been the front-runner of “equal rights” and “Freedom of Expression” and with trouble brewing on the Padmavati and Karni Sena front, actor urged people to at least the film before starting a movement (Andolan).
“Before protesting, I think one should watch the film; what is there in the movie or not, who knows, only filmmaker knows about it. So before protesting or creating a movement (Andolan), it is important to watch the film first” added Kunal.
Kunal Kapoor also added that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a magician. He said, “Padmavati looks absolutely sublime and Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a magician, there is no one out there who can make movies like him, shoot songs or present a movie in such a grand manner. His actors always look so good. The first look of the film was amazing and I am really waiting for the film to come out”
Talking about Gold, Kunal confirmed the release date and said it is an exceptional story.
“Gold is releasing on August 15th, 2018, it has such an exceptional story but talking about my expectations of the film, it is too early to talk about, as there is a lot of time left for the movie to release”
The movie also stars popular telly actress Mouni Roy and slated for 15th August 2018.
