Actress Mouni Roy is making her big Bollywood debut with Excel Entertainment’s forthcoming film “Gold” and actress confirms the news in a very cryptic manner on the sidelines of media event here in Mumbai.
Mouni Roy is all set to explore the silver-screen opposite Akshay Kumar in upcoming movie “Gold” – which has already gone on floors. When asked about working on the film, the actress gave a cryptic confirmation.
She said, “Let me put it this way, I’m doing one part in one film. So far, I’ve shot very little but I think it’s always a process and it is new for me, so I am learning so much. I am really grateful for the opportunity”
Mouni Roy is a Bengali Indian television actress and model. One of the most popular actresses of India, she is primarily known for her roles as Krishnatulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Sati in Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev and Nagin.
Mouni Roy also confirmed that entering Bollywood doesn’t mean, she will be leaving Television and her only concern is to do the role properly.
“As actors, we are creative people and we’re greedy to do good roles, and one such role has come by in my career. I’m really happy about it and my only hope is that I’m able to do it properly. This is my home I’ll always be coming on TV” says Mouni.
“Gold” is an upcoming 2018 sports film, directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. It is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh, who was on the team that won the first Olympic medal for the country as a free nation in 1948.
