Zaira Wasim celebrated her 17th Birthday with filmmaker Advait Chandan here in Mumbai. During her media interaction, Zaira said, the best compliment she received for Secret Superstar was her father crying.
“During the cast and crew screening, my parents also came to watch the film. I was sitting some distance away from them, and before the film could end, I came out and started interacting with people. My cousins told me that my father was crying throughout the film. When he came out of the theater, he had tears in his eyes and I have never seen him cry. He came and hugged me and kissed my forehead, that is the best compliment I got” said Zaira.
Secret Superstar released on this Diwali, which has struck just the right chord with audiences. The movie features Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim and Meher Vij in pivotal roles.
“This is my best birthday gift ever that my movie secret superstar is getting so much love. I don’t think I’ll able to express it in words that how special this birthday is for me” said Zaira.
Zaria also added that she feels lucky and blessed for the success. She said, “I am really glad and overwhelmed. I am feeling very lucky and blessed. I am quite happy that Secret Superstar is receiving so much love; I am getting so much love”
Zaira Wasim also expressed that now that the film has released, the whole experience has turned bittersweet. She said, “I am happy and sad, as this journey is coming to an end. The film is not ours anymore, now it belongs to audience”
The film has been helmed by debut director Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla.
