Nisha Rawal in an interview to Joginder Tuteja mentioned that she would expose only when she is fed up with the roles that she prefers to do now. She is making her debut opposite Jimmy Shergill in the movie Hastey Hastey, released yesterday. In the movie Rawal plays the character of a cute college girl but the review has it that she falls flat in emotional scenes. Being her start, let’s give her some space to give good performances.
Few years back she appeared in the namesake video Chanda Ki Doli with Sonu Nigam. On the same image she plays her character in Hastey Hastey.
“I am happy with the way I have been presented in Hastey Hastey, says Nisha Rawal, “I have my own identity and the way I want to dress. I know that whether I wear Indian or Western costumes, they would never breach the limits I have set for myself. I like my wardrobe and am fine to be seen as a sweet and cute girl. If that’s the image people want to see me in, I don’t have any issues with that.”
But how long can she continue to play bhenji characters? All the modern divas do not mind shedding clothes. Look at Soha in the recent Maxim magazine. “I know, as years pass by, market dynamics change too. If I am really fed up, the way I look, and people too feel that they want to see me in a different ‘avatar’, I may possibly start thinking about presenting myself differently. Today I am this way but what can one say about tomorrow?” says Nisha.
