Actor Boman Irani who considers himself as an avid reader has said that nowadays, non-fictional books interest him more.

Boman Irani was interacting with media at writer Bilal Siddiqi’s new book launch titled ‘The Stardust Affair’ along with Bilal Siddiqi, Hussain Zaidi on Thursday in Mumbai.

When asked Irani, what kind of books he likes to read more, he said, “There are 50000 books which are my favorites. In fact, I like to read autobiographies now. We used to go ‘AH Wheeler’ which used to be a book stall at VT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) Railway Station. In every train journey, I used to buy lot of books and used to read that in train and mostly, that used to be fiction and now suddenly, I think non-fiction seems to be very interesting and I also get to read lot of screenplays as well”

Talking about basic storyline of book ‘The Stardust Affair’, Bilal Siddiqi said, “It’s a piece of fiction. It’s a story of a journalist, who gets embroiled in an actress world and bit by bit realizes that she is instrumental in running a drug empire so it’s their play between the two”

When asked Bilal reason for naming his book as ‘The Stardust Affair’, he said, “It’s actually play on the themes of the book. Of course, there is affair between the two and ‘stardust’ is colloquial term for drug”

Showering praise on Bilal Siddiqui and his writing skills, Boman Irani said, “We are already very proud country but I think if every youngster of our country would become like Bilal then we will be even prouder. He is one of the finest young man I know and I am not saying this because I am talking to media, I am genuinely saying this that he is been one the most well brought up youngster that I have ever met and it’s a very big thing. Sometimes it happen that well brought up kids can be boring but he is not that kind of person. He is talented and hardworking and he has everything in him and we must keep encouraging him that’s all we got to do”
