Pulling off comic character is really difficult says Shweta Khanduri

Actress Shweta Khanduri, who next will be seen in a comedy film ‘Sharmaji Ki Lag Gai’, has said that pulling of a comic character is really difficult but she feels that she was lucky enough to do that as others actors of the film were supporting her while shooting for the film.

Shweta Khanduri was interacting with the media to promote ‘Sharmaji Ki Lag Gai’ on Wednesday in Mumbai.

This is the first time Shweta Khanduri is featuring in a comedy film, when asked Shweta how was her experience working in a comedy film, she said, “I feel pulling off comic character is really difficult and this is my first comedy film. Thankfully, all the actors that we have in the film are brilliant and they are good in comedy and they were so supportive that it went very smoothly. Krushna Abhishek  was just awesome.   Our director was really nice so, I was lucky enough to have good team of cast around me and supporting me while shooting of the film. I hope this film will open more avenues for me in comedy films.”

Talking about the character in the film, Shweta said, “Sharmaji Ki Lag Gai’ is a comedy film but it has a lot of misunderstandings, twists and turns so, I cannot reveal everything about my character but I play role of a girl who solve a lot of mystery and confusion which is there in the film. Name of my character is Maya and it’s really an interesting character so, I hope audience would appreciate my performance in the film.”

When asked what are her views on double meaning and adult comedy films, she said, “I feel it depends on person to person and we have vast variety of audience. They want to see double meaning comedy films, family oriented films and romantic-drama films so, I feel if you come up with something good then, definitely you will get audience for it.”

Talking about her upcoming projects, Shweta said, “Recently, I had a release which was a short film named ‘The Cottage’ for Ullu app and I have couple of more short films which would be releasing soon so, I have kept my fingers crossed for all of them.”

‘Sharmaji Ki Lag Gai’ is directed by Manoj Sharma and it also features Krushna Abhishek, Mugdha Godse, Brijendra Kala and Mukesh Tiwari.
