On Thursday, just day before the release of Jagga Jasoos, Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Singh hosted special screening of the film for Kapoor clan in Mumbai. Ranbir Singh, Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir’s aunt Rima Jain, Yashraj’s new talent Aadar Jain and Anya Singh who recently, introduced by Ranbir himself attended the screening but the most special person was who made rare entry into screening was Raj Kapoor’s wife and Ranbir’s grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor attended the screening . While speaking to media Ranbir revealed that he is heading to New York for the shoot of Sanjay Dutt biopic.
Talking about his next projects Sanjay Dutt Biopic and Ayan Mukherjee’s film, he said, “As far as Sanjay Dutt biopic is concerned, I will head to New York on 15 July to shoot there for 5 days and after coming back here, there is again 10 days of shoot is left and I will start shoot of Ayan Mukherjee film from 15 October.”
Earlier, Paresh Rawal who is playing role of Sunil Dutt in the film stated that it’s basically story of father-son relationship.
Apparently, Sanjay Dutt biopic will show journey of Sanjay Dutt from being a son to Bollywood legends Nargis and Sunil Dutt, to becoming a successful hero, his drug addiction and later rehabilitation, his super strong comeback from the brink of disaster, his involvement in the Bombay serial blasts, arrest under TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act), his incarceration and ultimately his release.
Film also stars Manisha Koirala as Nargis Dutt, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. It is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
Sanjay Dutt biopic is slated to release in March, 2018.
On the other hand, Ranbir third time will be collaborating with his close friend Ayan Mukherjee film after their super successful outings like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which is reportedly a superhero film. In that film Ranbir for the first time collaborating with super talented Alia Bhatt . This film is highly anticipated even before starting of the film shoot as three young talented individuals from the industry is joining their hands.
