Karishma Kapoor was present at Neerus store launch in Mumbai on Thursday. During media interaction the actor said, Shashi Kapoor, will always be remembered very fondly.
The actress was asked to comment on the recent demise of the Kapoor family member, she said, “When your family is no more it is a very sad moment but of course we hope he rests in peace. We will always remember him very fondly, not only the industry but I think people all over the world will always appreciate his films and will remember him always.”
The Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient and Bollywood legend Shashi Kapoor died after prolonged illness on December 4th in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He was undergoing dialysis for a kidney ailment for many years.
Remembering her late grand uncle, actress Karisma Kapoor took to her social accounts and shared an endearing picture with him. She captioned the priceless picture as, “Farewell Shashi Uncle #fondestmemories#rip”.
The picture is Lolo is seen taking a selfie with Shashi, who is seen posing for the camera, seated in his wheelchair. The picture was taken when he was conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2015 at the iconic Prithvi Theatre.
Karishma was last seen in a cameo appearance in David Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’.
