Shoaib Mansoor wishes to make a sequel to the much appreciated Khuda Kay Liye, but the situations in Pakistan do not allow making another open ended and liberal movie. The director is thankful to President Musharraf for not only appreciating the movie but also saving it from the Censor board. He is even surprised at the silence he received from the Pakistani fundamentalists and also the appreciation he got for the general audience.
The sentimental director states that after watching films a Muslim maulvi would definitely conclude that he isn’t really a Muslim but that doesn’t make him a non-Muslim and he is happy that he understand the philosophy in the religion more than a fundamentalist. Well, we agree more than anything, the dialogues he gave his characters in the movie prove that he has a strong sense of the religion. But the director is not sure about the others involved in the movie and he also complains that some actors didn’t not behave professionally during the shooting of Khuda Kay Liye. Even his lead actor Shaan commented that the movie has been made only to please for his passion of film-making. All these experience has made the director think twice before plunging into another nightmare. But how much would we love if the second one also turns out like the predecessor. So, buckle up man and just do it!
