Sohail is better director than Arbaaz says Salman Khan

Salman Khan and Sohail Khan is on promotion spree for their most anticipated movie of the year Tubelight and they both are leaving no stone unturned to promote it despite of their busy schedules. Salman and Sohail in press conference on Tuesday talked about Tubelight and during that interaction Salman stated that Sohail Khan is better director than his other brother Arbaaz Khan.

Sohail has directed Salman in films like Auzaar, Jai Ho, Hello Brother and Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and one the other hand Arbaaz has directed Salman in only one movie Dabangg 2. When asked Salman about his favorite director, he said, “I feel , Sohail is better director because he is more patient and with Sohail, you can improvise on things but in similar situation, Arbaaz gets panicked and his blood pressure starts to fluctuate. Now I am doing Dabangg 3 with him so Arbaaz has made me clear that I am not going to direct it and I am only producing it so I said, we will find a good director to direct it”.

Salman Khan film’s also known for his iconic dialogues, talking about it, he said, “We just do whatever is there in the film. We improvise lines according to screen play but after watching the film, audience and specially kid’s picks up certain dialogues which is completely up to them.”

Salman also spoke about process of choosing the films, he said, “I feel, when you listen to a script and if you are not able see yourself in that space then ideally no matter how beautiful the script is you should not do it or then you have to work that hard to visually see yourself in the movie. Whenever a filmmaker approaches me with a script, first thing is that, I need to see myself doing it and till the time it doesn’t happens I don’t sign a movie. When Kabir came to me with this script, I gradually started looking myself in that character.”

Talking about his onscreen and off-screen relationship as brother with Sohail, Salman said, “We are brothers. We love each other a lot and there is strong bonding between us. Elder brother is Tubelight (Slow on grasping things) and younger one is understanding with strong personality this is what we have shown in the film”

Talking about business of film, Salman said, “We all want our movies to do well and break records and other films should also do the same, this is how industry should work. When I heard that a particular film of mine is getting mix reviews from the audience then we pray that minimum damage should happen because no one should lose their money in the film.”

Aamir Khan’s Dangal has done phenomenal business in China and China is used as backdrop in Tubelight, when asked Salman about releasing it China, he said, “First this film should get release in Hindi and if our audience like the film, connects with it and people starts going to theatre for the second time as well then it should not matter whether it is releasing in China or not”
He also spoke about Indo-China war backdrop which has shown in the film, “We have just used it as backdrop. In this film , we have shown that war should end as soon as possible so that soldiers from both countries could return to their homes because whenever war happens , both side of soldiers gets died and their kids or parents live whole life without them”

Salman is regarded as most good looking and highest paid actor in the country, when asked about that, he said, “This is not correct, there are lot more actors who gets paid more than me and their films have worked well at box-office than mine and I am not much concerned about my good looks .I has come to me from my father and mother and the kind of films I am doing that image gets reflect on my personality”.

Shah Rukh is doing cameo in Tubelight and Salman added that he is going to organize special screening to him.
Tubelight is releasing on 23 June, 2017.
