Sanya Malhotra interacted with media at the special screening of the film ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ with MAMI film festival in Mumbai on Friday, the opening night.

Sanya was last seen in ‘Badhaai Ho’ next to Ayushmann Khurrana, when asked how the film’s positive response felt she said, “The response for Badhaai ho has been overwhelming. When we were shooting I didn’t know it will lead to such a response. We knew people would love the film but this is a very unbelievable response.”

The actress was present at the event to support her ‘Pataakha’ costar Radhika Madan for the screening of her award winning film, ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.

Talking about Radhika she said, “I am really happy for Radhika, she is an amazing actor and I am really proud of her and I know it is going to be an amazing film. The kind of response it got at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) I am sure it will get a similar response here too.”

After the kind of response Sanya’s previous films ‘Dangal’, ‘Pataakha’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’ received when asked which is her next power packed film she said, “My next project is titled, ‘Photograph’ with Nawazuddin Siddiqui directed by Ritesh Batra . I am really happy and looking forward to the film.”

‘Badhaai Ho’ directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma stared Neena Gupta, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao and Sheeba Chaddha in key roles.

The film is produced by Vineet Jain, Aleya Sen, Hemant Bhandari, and Priti Sahani under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures.
