There was no catfight with Ileana D’Cruz while shooting Mubarakan says Athiya Shetty

On Sunday, Actress Athiya Shetty attended 20 year celebration of ‘Border’ – a war drama released in 1997 in which Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty played an important character. According to popular perception, two leading actress can be each other’s friends but Athiya revealed that there was no catfight while shooting their upcoming comedy film Mubarakan.

On the other Hand, The two hit it off instantly, on the set of ‘Mubarakan’. While they got along well while shooting in Mumbai, their bond grew stronger while filming in London and used to post their pictures on social networking sites. On their days away from work, Ileana and Athiya would head out together for sight-seeing and exploring the city. They also watched movies, shopped and ate at various restaurants to their heart’s content through the schedule.
Talking about Ileana, Athiya said, “Ileana is amazing person. She is so much fun and encouraging co-actor. There was no catfight among us and that period of catfights is gone”
She added, “Mubarakan trailer will launched on 14 June and I am super excited about that. “
Talking about working experience in Mubarkan, Athiya said, “Comedy is different genre. In this film, I got to learn a lot while watching other actors act. Arjun Kapoor is an amazing actor and he is very good at comedy. I feel really blessed to work with fabulous team of Arjun Kapoor, Ileana, Anil Kapoor and Anees Bazmee “
Athiya’s first film Hero was romantic movie and Mubarakan is an out an out comedy, when asked about challenges working on this film, she said, “It was tough because in comedy films, you have to get your timing right but Anees Bazmee was always there to help me to play my character”
Alia also spoke about her memories related to her father’s film Border, she said, “It is one of my favorite films of my dad. I was only 3 years old when he was shooting for the film. It was the first set I have ever been to so It feels really special to be here”
Mubarakan is releasing on 28 July, 2017.
