Varun Dhawan has been extensively shooting for October in Delhi and now confirms the release date of the film, including his first look from the movie. The film is helmed by Shoojit Sircar.
The actor shared a still from the movie, which he captioned, “As October comes to an end it arrives earlier next year. #October releases on 13th April now.@ShoojitSircar @ronnielahiri @BanitaSandhu”
The film was slated to release next year on June 1, 2018. Now, the release date of the film has been preponed and it will hit the screens on April 13, 2018. In the film, Varun Dhawan will be seen in a non-glam avatar.
National Award winning filmmaker Shoojit Sircar expressed that film will be an emotional romantic drama. He said, “It is a genre that I have always wanted to delve in. While love and romance have been entwined with Indian cinema, there is abundance in that emotion that everyone can have their own interpretations of. Juhi and I have always tried to create stories from the reflections of real-life moments that we see around us. October is another effort to explore those moments out of simple situations of life”
The film is written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who collaborated with the filmmaker on Vicky Donor and Piku.
‘October’ will be the launching pad of a new face – Banita Sandhu. The pretty and confident girl hails from Wales, United Kingdom and had featured in a popular television advertisement directed by Shoojit last year.
The film is set to hit the screens on April 13, 2018.
