Swara Bhaskar along with entire cast and crew of the film graces the music launch of Veere Di Wedding here in Mumbai. During media interaction, Swara expressed that contradiction will always be there and Veere Di Wedding is special and unique.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania Starrer Veere Di Wedding is a story about four female friends and their struggle in life, a proper women empowerment story about women.
Talking about India living in contradiction, where we talks about values and modernism and yet at the same time, women constantly need to remind about her life and needs. Swara’s reply is epic, she said, “The contradiction will always be there, you talk about any society or within us, so it will reflect in our movies as well. I am saying this every single day, it has become my Nara (Slogan) but I think it is important to say this, it has been 105 years since our film Industry came to existence, and this is the first time we are making a film in main-stream cinema about four female friends, it is their life story and none is falling in love with the same guy. So this is most special and unique thing about this film”
Ekta Kapoor, who is also the co-producer of the film added that film has already covered its cost and they are looking at a clean run.
Talking about the film, Ekta said, “Actually I love this film. I trust the producer and I have four stellar leading women in the film. I have always picked a script which was not a hit on paper but on release became super successful. Like when I made the Dirty picture, I was told this film is a flop. How can you make a film with Vidya Balan playing a heroine that too be an item number girl? When the film released my mom hugged me and told me this is an outstanding film. The movie has cleared most of its cost and we’re looking a great clean run. I think I am a happy producer”
The film is directed by Shashank Ghosh, the film revolves around four female best buddies, who deal with ups-and-downs of life with each other’s support.
The film is all set to hit the screens on June 1, 2018.
