Anurag Kashyap who is busy gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Mukkabaaz‘ was present at a promotional Press conference on Friday. During Media interaction, the director said, they will make an official announcement about ‘Manmarziyan’ after 13th Jan.
Kashyap is also working on another film titled ‘Manmarziyan’ with producer Anand L Rai, when asked to comment on the film’s progress he said, “We will start shooting for it in next month. After we finish everything related to ‘Mukkabaaz’ in this month. There are many rumors, but we will make an official announcement after 13th Jan.”
‘Mukkabaaz’ releasing on 12th Jan has a tagline attached to the name stating, ‘Bahut Hua Samman’. When asked about the tagline’s significance, he said, “People in our country are offended very easily. It is a behavioral flaw in our country, and I think we cant grow because of it. Out of respect, a father always decided who his kid will be or what he will do when he grows up. And the kid has to do it, without question, killing their own dreams, to show his respect for the elder. That’s what the tagline is about.”
Talking about the film’s sports backdrop, when asked if it will reflect the actual sports scenario in our country, he said, “The film comments on how we need to take sports seriously. We have a support system for sportsmen with jobs and stadiums but there is no encouragement system to create more sportsmen. Once someone comes forth to become a player there is no one to guide them through. ‘Mukkabaaz’ talks about that too.”
‘Mukkabaaz’ presented by Phantom Films and Colour Yellow Films stars, Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Ravi Kishan, and Jimmy Shergill.
The film is scheduled to commercially release on 12th Jan 2018.
