Working with actor like Sushant Singh Rajput ups your game says Bhumi Pednekar

Actress Bhumi Pednekar attended Reebok ‘Fit To Fight’ Awards 2017 on Thursday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Bhumi said that working with actor like Sushant Singh Rajput ups your game as an actor.

Bhumi Pednekar first time collaborating with Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Caubey’s ‘Son Chiraiya’, talking about working with Sushant Singh Rajput in that film, Bhumi said, “Sushant has been great. I know him for a while now. He is such a phenomenal actor that I am really excited to work with him. It’s always good to work with somebody who is so good because working with actor like him ups your game as an actor”

Talking about working with Abhishek Chaubey for ‘Son Chiraiya’, Bhumi said, “I can’t reveal much details about ‘Son Chiraiya’ and that’s the way it is. It’s a difficult film and we are gearing up to shoot it. Abhishek has been on my wish list of directors to work with so I am really excited about working with him”

Talking about preparation for ‘Son Charaiya’, Bhumi said, “The kind of actor I am, I always put in a lot in my character but Abhishek is such a director who really believes in fine tuning an actor as much as possible so there is lot of physical training that I am doing for it and there is also lifestyle change that I have gone through for this film”

Talking about Reebok’s Fit To Fight Awards 2017, Bhumi said, “Now I feel women should be celebrated and specially women that go out of their way and break stereotypes so I am very happy that we are supporting them and supporting Reebok. I feel they have put up a fantastic theme for this award show”

When asked what kind of ‘fight’ she has gone through in her life, Bhumi said, “I think subconsciously, as women specially living in India today, you are fighting lot of things that is not right. I am part of that group so yeah together we will definitely turn this country into a way better place for women to be in”

Talking about upcoming awards season, Bhumi said, “Awards are always fun as they encourages and motivates you to do better and even being nominated is a big honor. It’s only my second year in this fraternity and my second (Toilet – Ek Prem Katha) and third film (Shubh Mangal Savdhan) being nominated so it feels really exciting”

Bhumi’s upcoming film ‘Son Chiraiya’ revolves around Chambal dacoits and is set in the 1970s and in that film, Sushant and Bhumi, both plays a dacoit. Bhumi plays Sushant’s love interest.

The film will be shot in the Chambal ravines and will roll early next year.
