November 1, 2010 : The ‘Today’ show on NBC made no bones about the fact that their preferred theme for Halloween 2010 was the pop look. In a Halloween-themed special episode of the show screened before the country adopts the celebration look on Sunday, showed anchors Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales imitating pop stars Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber respectively. And though a Superman and a Barack Obama also made their way to the special Halloween episode, it was the pop look which prevailed throughout.
Meredith Vieira made the most of her Giorgio Armani Prive costume which Lady Gaga had worn at the Grammy Awards ceremony, and Natalie Morales looked wonderful in spite of the fact that she shed her girly look to make way for the Justin Bieber inspired casual style. A drama enacted on the sets on the ‘Today’ show featured Meredith Vieira in the Justin Bieber lookalike easily winning the hearts of the girls who screamed their hearts out in support of their favorite star. But it was without doubt the Lady Gaga act by Natalie Morales that won the heart of the audience, the show’s host performing it with élan.
