Ali Merchant who was last seen in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai’ as Rituraj has recently entered the Star Plus afternoon show ‘Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat’ in a parallel lead role. The actor has worked hard for this particular character by loosing oodles of weight.
“I have lost 9 kgs of weight for my role as it is the parallel lead in the show,” says Ali who plays Angad in ‘Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat’.
Talking about his daily regime the actor adds, “I am on a strict weight loss diet these days. That means no meals after 8 in the night and I have stopped clubbing. I have six small meals a day. This has been my schedule since the past few months and it makes me feel good.”
When asked about what the viewers can expect in the coming episodes he replies, “Well, I have no clue about the same but all I can say is that there will be lot of rona-dhona and the focus will be on my track where I support Rani (Anjali Abrol).”
Our source from the production house quips, “Yudi’s exit is going to create more hungama and for now the creative team is focusing on the same. There is good news for fans of Yudi (Kapil Nirmal) as there are chances of his return to the show in few months time.”
It seems this baraat will proceed for a longer period!
