November 18, 2010 : Bristol Palin has got her share of popularity after participating in this season’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’. She is now among the three finalists and will be competing for the final round next week. However, she is also keeping herself busy with some other activities like appearing on a new ‘Public service announcement’ (PSA) with a fellow contestant Michael Sorrentino, who is popularly known as Mike ‘The Situation’.
The 20-year-old ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestant has always supported the cause of preventing ‘teen pregnancy’ and the new PSA is based on the same issue. Sorrentio, who was eliminated in the fourth week itself, however, supports safe sex and he wants to promote the use of condoms. In fact, he offers the same thing to Palin in the PSA but she declines it saying that she would better opt for avoiding such situation.
Bristol is popularly known being a single teen parent and she admits how it feels to be like that. ‘The Situation’ tries to test her abstinence by asking her if she is really serious about it. But ‘The Situation’ constantly maintains his stand saying that he can’t support clear abstinence. He better chose to continue with safety measures before going for that.
However, the PSA fails to touch the real issue- the sexually transmitted diseases for which they are here. They kept talking about teen pregnancy and abstinence but the main message is lost somewhere!
