November 18, 2010 : The last episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ came as a huge shock to many. The three finalists were to be selected in this episode and things took a very unexpected turn towards the end. Jennifer Grey was the first one who got to know that she was through to the finals. This did not come as a surprise as she had received perfect scores from the three judges on last Monday’s episode. The next finalist to be chosen was Kyle Massey who is the last male participant left in the competition. The last spot was to be filled by either R&B singer Brandy or Bristol Palin, the daughter of politician Sarah Palin.
This final declaration was saved till the end. At the end, it was revealed that Palin was the third finalist. The decision was clearly an unexpected and shocking one. It came as a rude shock to Brandy who so desperately wanted to make it to the finals. For most in the audience, this was perhaps the most unexpected outcome so far in the competition. Judge Bruno Tonioli said that the decision was unexpected as Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had performed brilliantly on Monday night. In fact, the judges had asked the two of them to repeat their Argentinean Tango dance. She had scored a total of 57 out of 60.However, according to some, Bristol Palin; the daughter of Sarah Palin had delivered her best performance in the show on Monday night.
The show also had Annie Lennox singing two numbers while Enrique Iglesias performed “ I like it”. The three chosen finalists will perform on Monday night. This will be followed by a 2-hour marathon episode, in which the final results will be declared.
