Here’s what celebrities had to say about ‘Brathe’ –
Sapna Pabbi – The response to our show is fabulous. It’s slightly overwhelming as everyone has enjoyed the trailer and everyone is excited to see what ‘Breathe’ is all about. Everyone saying that it is looking special and it is looking like a film. I think they are right, it is something special. The content is new, the attention to detail for a series is also new and I think Amazon Prime and Abundantia (Production) has managed to pull that off so I am very happy and proud of the whole team”
Talking about working in Digital medium platform, Sapna said, “It’s not a new journey for me. I earlier did a show on digital platform called ‘The Trip’ and I believe don’t in medium. I think content should matter and that’s what ‘Breathe’ is trying to show here”
Ali Fazal
Amit Sadh
Talking about working with R. Madhavan in ‘Brathe’, Spana said, “He is super cool and he is very pretty. Both the guys, Amit Sadh and R. Madhavan are very easy to work with. None them made me feel that I was junior to them in the industry so it’s very nice.”
Amit Sadh – I am very excited for ‘Breathe’ as our entire team has worked really hard on this project. Today is the first time we will be sharing first time we will be sharing first four episodes of series. We have been getting good response for the trailer of ‘Breathe’ through the medium of YouTube. People say that if the trailer works, half the battle is won but I am waiting till 26th January to know real reaction from the audience.
Talking about actors juggling to work in films and Digital platform, Sadh said, “I don’t think there is any kind of wall to work in these mediums. No one is jumping from one side to another. I think in India, it is very exciting time. We are making films, digital series and entire world’s attention is here because our country is filled with different kind of stories and characters. I don’t think any other part of world has that therefore, international studios are coming here to create content and through web series, we are creating a new audience”
Arbaaz Khan – Trailer of ‘breathe’ is very interesting. Amit is my friend and this show is very important for him so I am pretty excited and I am here to be present here in one his big days. I think R. Madhavan and Amit Sadh are brilliant actors. Both have done good job in the series. Recently I did a film with Amit Sadh so our friendship has grown that’s why I am here to support him and I am looking forward to watch this series.
Arshad Warsi – I think it s very exciting and thrilling and you feel like watching more. I think most web series are really intense and fun because of that there is freedom of creativity and directors get to bring their heart out so what really happens is you become a zombie so there are days when I continuously watched these web series for 4-5 days
Talking about R. Madhvan in ‘Breathe’, Warsi said, “He is a great actor. It’s always a pleasure watching great actor onscreen.”
Talking about actors working in digital platforms, Madhavan said, “It’s the right thing to do because that is the future and that’s how it’s going to be. It’s convenient to another level”
R. Madhavan – I am feeling very nervous now as the kind of buzz I am observing about ‘Breathe’ on social media and Amazon has gone crazy as they put up hoardings of the series everywhere in Mumbai, Banglore and Hyderbad so I think even my films also haven’t released on this scale.
Talking about challenges Madhavan faced while working in ‘Breathe’ he said, “In ‘Breathe’, my character has to make a moral choice of sticking to the law or doing what it takes to protect his son who is battling with life threatening disease so portraying that struggle onscreen was a challenge to me”
When asked Madhavan what he will prefer to do a film or web series, he said, “I think doing film will be my first choice because it has more grandeur, film have larger than life mounting but you have to get those kind of scripts but I think digital medium is going to be bigger than films as the digital media content reaches to audience home through their smart phones so they can watch it whenever they want to so it will have bigger audience as a result it will bigger impact”
In ‘Breathe’, R. Madhavan plays a father is willing to go to any length to save his child from a possibly cruel end. Amit Sadh plays the role of a cop Kabir Sawant in the series, even after disturbed life, he performs his duty with complete honesty.
The web series has been written and directed by Mayank Sharma.
The series also stars Hrishikesh Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Atharva Vishwakarma and Neena Kulkarni in lead roles.
First 3 episodes of ‘Breathe’ will be aired on 26th January and after that 1 episode in every week.
