After Beating Cancer, Lisa Ray Embrace Motherhood

Published on

Actress Lisa Ray and her husband Jason Dehni have become parents to twin daughters – Sufi and Soleil. The actress announced the news on social media with adorable photos of the newborn babies.

Lisa Ray shared some candid pictures with her babies on social media and expressed her feeling about having babies and motherhood.
Actress Lisa wrote, “Motherhood is like drilling into your heart. It’s also like trying to change your clothes in the middle of a roller coaster ride—new skills all the way. There’s a new level of anarchy and love in my life now, but also a fullness that’s hard to describe”.
Sufi and Soleil were born via surrogacy. Lisa Ray, a cancer survivor, also added that she didn’t wanted kids but her brush with cancer changed her outlook towards life and now she is ready to embrace motherhood.
Another tweet read, “When I was younger, I didn’t want kids, but after going through multiple myeloma and getting married at 40, my inner beliefs changed. I started feeling, I would like to be a mom”
Lisa Ray was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer in 2009 and a year later in April, she was declared a survivor. Lisa married Jason Dehni, a banking executive, in 2012 in Napa Valley, California.
Lisa is best known for featuring in the song Afreen Afreen, composed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. She has featured in films such as Bollywood/Hollywood, Water, I Can’t Think Straight and Veerappan.
She was last seen in Bollywood film Dobaara, co-starring Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem.
