Alia Bhatt announces ‘Sadak 2’ on father Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday

The wait is finally over. There were lots of speculations about cast and crew of ‘Sadak 2’ since it has been announced by Bhatt’s but early Thursday morning, Alia Bhatt shared a video announcing ‘Sadak 2’ on father Mahesh Bhatt‘s 70th birthday. She will be working with her filmmaker dad for the first time.

Alia posted a heartwarming message on her social networking sites, she posted, “Dear Daddy,
On your 70th Birthday you have given me the greatest present I could ask and dream for. You are directing me! Sadak 2 is a dream come true.. What I thought will never be possible you have made possible. Thank you daddy from the bottom of my heart, soul and bones.This will be a journey of discovery.. Of life, movies, feeling and most of all.. Of a father and daughter. I love you my not-so-old man! Happy Birthday ?”

‘Sadak 2’ is the sequel of 1991 hit film ‘Sadak’. The film starring Sanjay Dutt and Alia’s sister Pooja came out around 17 years ago and it was a massive success with many touting it to be the actor’s best performance till date.

Now, the filmmaker has decided to helm a sequel of the romantic thriller which will have Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in addition to the original star cast.

It is being produced by Mukesh Bhatt and it is scheduled to release on 25 March, 2020.
