Veteran Actress Hema Malini organized Synergy – An Indo-Georgian Dance Fusion programme on Friday in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Ashutosh Gowariker, Govinda, Narmada Ahuja, Shiamak Davar, Roop Kumar Rathod, Suresh Wadkar, Rashmi Thackeray, Esha Deol with Husband Bharat Thaktani, Ahana Deol with Husband Vaibhav Vohra, Boney Kapoor,Terence Lewis, Ramesh Sippy and Kiran Jueja attended the event.

Taapsee Pannu – I have been a trained classical dancer so I know that dancing as an art is how much close to people who learn it professionally. Earlier, I haven’t watched performances from Georgian dancers so for me it will be very interesting fusion. Since I am trained dancer, I always like to follow all kind of dance forms so I am looking forward for this show as well.
Ashutosh Gowariker – Hema ji constantly thinks out of the box. She always comes out with lot of synergy and that why I feel she named her unique programme Synergy. She tries to mend two different art forms but this one is special because here she is collaborating with Georgian dancers. I have seen Georgian dancing style on YouTube so I am quite excited to see live performance of those dancers therefore, I am really looking forward for this show.
Isha Deol – This is something which we have been doing from past 12 years. It’s a tribute to my grandmother, Jaya Chakravarthy so it was earlier named as ‘Jaya Smriti’ but this year it became ‘Synergy’ because we collaborated with Georgian dancers so it has definitely grown bigger and I am glad that it has gone international this year. I have invited my in-laws and close friends for this show.
Talking about her pregnancy phase, she said, “We are looking forward to it. It is the ending portion of my pregnancy. It’s been great with everyone’s blessings and wishes”
Hema Malini – I am feeling really happy that many people from the film industry has come for this programme but at the same time, I am nervous from the time programme has started till it ends. I am quite sure that people will appreciate this show because it’s different kind of fusion. We have invited almost 40 Georgian dancers and 30 artists from India. Shah Rukh is presenting the show and that is also the highlight of the programme.
Govinda – Hema Malini ji is a dream girl of the film industry. I have been fan of Dharmendra ji and Hema Ji from many years. I want to congratulate her for this nice initiative and experiment. I feel Bharat Natyam is India’s one of the biggest dance form so I am looking forward to some amazing dance performances in this show as well.
Boney Kapoor – I am looking forward for this. Hema Malini is wonderful dancer herself and if she put up show then it’s bound to be absolutely fantastic. I am also keen to see performance of Georgian dancers because I shot my last film Mom in Georgia so that’s another reason for me to look forward for this show. I am sure I am going to enjoy this show.
Synergy – An Indo-Georgian Dance Fusion is fusion of Indian classical dance forms across India and Georgian dance form.
Apart from Mumbai, this show will also be organized in New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.
