Ranveer Singh said he is excited to collaborate with the king of masala films, Rohit Shetty, on the sidelines of the ‘8th Hall of Fame Awards 2018’ on Saturday.
While talking about his upcoming project ‘Simba’ Ranveer said, “We have finished more than half the shooting for ‘Gully Boy’ and after I wrap this film in April or May I will immediately be diving into ‘Simmba’ and I am very excited to be working with Rohit sir first-time on a feature film. It is a big one for me and more than anything I am really excited about collaborating with Rohit sir, the king of masala films. Which I love more than any other kind of films. This is something I believe I was born to do and I am looking forward to it.
The ‘Befikre‘ actor said he feels blessed to be working with the best filmmakers in the industry. “I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with the best filmmakers in the business from Mr.Bhansali to Zoya Akhtar to Rohit sir to Kabir Khan. It is a very rich time for me creatively, I get do to loads of different things that help keep myself stimulated and challenged and I am very excited about the upcoming stage.”
When asked what fame means to the actor he said, “Fame is a wonderful thing, but it was never the one thing that I was attracted to. I have always been in love with the craft of acting, I just want to be the best actor that I can possibly be. Money and fame these things come along with and they are very welcomed but that’s not what drives me. ”
Ranveer was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. his future films include ‘Gully Boy’ directed by Zoya Akhtar starring alongside Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin and ‘Simmba’ directed by Rohit Shetty.
