Actor Ali Fazal walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week on Saturday in Mumbai for fashion designer, Asa Kazingmei. In an interview, Ali stated that, it’s a heavy time for him as his two films are releasing this year.
Ali Fazal has two most promising releases this year; one is Fukrey 2 which is sequel of Fukrey and with Victoria and Abdul, he is making his international debut. Fukerey 2 teaser also released some time back, talking about his projects, he said, “I am very happy that we are getting lot of love for teaser of our film Fukrey 2. It’s a heavy time for me as I have two releases this year. I am focusing on Victoria and Abdul and Fukrey 2 is coming in December.”
When asked whether there is any kind of pressure having two releases back to back, he said, “No.. I am trying to enjoy this phase because its first time with Victoria and Abdul, its showcasing Indian talent at global stage as I am playing one of the lead in it so I am just excited to represent my country”
Talking about his ramp walk experience, he said, “I swayed my way across the whole stage. I had so much fun because it has panache and style. With Asa and Johny Walker collaboration, I think it was perfect mix. There was wonderful work on display. I hope I did justice to whole marathon and it was honour to be part of whole collaboration.”
Talking about his personal style statement, he said, “I like my boots and my white T-shirt. Once in while I like to experiment and it keeps changing from time to time.”
Ali Fazal plays one of the title roles in Stephen Frears’ directorial Victoria and Abdul with veteran actor Judi Dench. The film revolves around the inexplicable bond between Queen Victoria (Dench) and her clerk Abdul Karim (Fazal). It slated to releasethis year in India.
And his other release, the last time the ‘jugaadu’ boys met in Fukrey, they sent Bholi Punjaban, a woman gangster, to jail. This time, the furious Bholi Punjaban, played by Richa Chadha is back and how.
The teaser of Fukrey Returns is finally out and as expected it’s one hell of a ride. The second installment of the Fukrey franchise looks sounds and feels even funnier and entertaining than the first one.
