On Tuesday, makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8 hosted special screening of show in Mumbai. Host Rohit Shetty and contestants like Shibani Dandekar, Hina Khan, Nia Sharma, Lopamudra Raut, Ravi Dubey, Rithvik Dhanjani, Geeta Phogat attended the event. While speaking at the event, Rohit stated that Khatron Ke Khiladi is show where contestants actually give their blood and sweat.
Talking about difficulties while shooting the show, Rohit said, “It is not easy show for me, contestants and the production team as well because in this show, we live together for flat 40 days outside our country. Many contestants have injured themselves while performing the stunts. Sometime, in water stunts, we used to conduct that during nights and temperature over there always used to get fluctuate so it wasn’t easy performing stunts in such challenging circumstances. It is very easy for the audience to feel that it’s a glamorous show which is being shot in beautiful locales outside the country but the thing is not like that. It’s actually a show where contestants give their blood and sweat.”
Talking about overall experience of the show, Rohit said, “This season was special because of these jokers (contestants). This season is really exciting and that is what I wanted because we as a team feel that along with stunts and action, there should also have entertainment quotient when audience will watch the show so they will get see wholesome package just like films and I feel all contestant contributed really well in that process I hope that audience will like the show”.
Talking about contestants performance in the show, Rohit said, “I feel when they trained themselves for the show and because of environment around them some non- performers who struggled in the beginning did really well at the end and some solid performers performance went down in the end so because of that sometimes I used to get shocked seeing them”
Talking about female contestants, he said, “There were some stunts which were really tough so I felt girls will not be able to pull it off but they proved me wrong and performed really well in the show”
“They are not stunt men and it is not easy for actors to perform stunts so for them we used to tweak a little bit but all stunts were performed by them in fact, there were some stunts that we didn’t completed in our last season but in this season contestant completed that stunts”.
Rohit also talked about exploring Spain while shooting the show, he said, “We normally used to shoot stunts and used to come back tired I our hotel for all these days so we haven’t really explored the country but I think Spain is a beautiful country. People over there are really hardworking, simple and good because sometimes when you go to some countries, you don’t like their mannerism but despite being an European country they were so kind and there are lots Indians so it was big relief for us to have Indian food.”
Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 will air on Colors TV from 22 July, 2017.
