Mumbai 27th January 2011: Universal Music today hosted a cocktail dinner to celebrate the launch of the album “Hasrat” by Ustaad Zakir Hussain – featuring Jagjit Singh, Hariharan, Roopkumar & Sonali Rathod.

Four Ghazal stalwarts come together to create some great magical moments on the biggest ghazal album of the year – HASRAT. The album is a bouquet of 8 new beautiful ghazals and has all fresh-brewed melodies packed by some excellent musicianship and top quality production values.

During the summer of 2009, composer Bobby Jutley along with his father Mohan Jutley who has penned the lyrics for the album, got all the singers together to be a part of this masterpiece. The melodies have been composed in traditional ghazal style and the music beautifully compliments the emotional and poetical rollercoaster.
