MTV Roadies give way to Splitsvilla – win love by hook or crook!

Published on

MTV Roadies series has shown some pretty good open fight among participants for winning fame and money. Continuing the hunt for some more reality shows without using the usual sheen of questions and answers of music and dance competitions, MTV’s creative team has come up with quite an interesting subject. The new show Splitsvilla will show some 20 odd girls trying to woo two boys. The stake here is not only money or fame but the chance to become the VJ couple.

Roadies no doubt was one hell of a show with so many obvious catfights and backfiring sequences happening on camera. Each participant used to take on the other with a vengeance not known otherwise. There was rivalry among all and friendship didn’t have a lasting impact. Immediately after the show came towards a closure, MTV is ready with another show that might just prove even more interesting than ever. The rule was to just out do the other by hook or crook.

MTV’s General Manager and Vice-president (Creative and Content) stated that Splitsvilla will show case, romance, heart break and diehard competition and Splitsvilla might as well set newer definitions of love. While Roadies producer Raaghu Ram will be producing this show, VJ Ranvijay who was the host for Roadies will be hosting this show. There were number of celebrities present at the launch of the show which included charming Ayesha Takia, & handsome hunks Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani. When Aftab felt envious of the boys who will be wooed by girls for a change as it is generally the other way round, Riteish felt that every guy wants to grab the attention of the girls and the show would highlight this factor.

Splitsvilla will be shot completely at a beautiful villa in Goa with the participants facing competitions with each other depending on different themes with each passing week. The three participants who score the lowest will have to go on a date with the boys and the boys will agree upon one girl to vote her out of the show. Seems pretty interesting, huh!
