Radhika Apte is all set to make digital debut with web-series for Netflix titled Scared Games, says she will try to keep her role real.
There is a lot of misconception around being a government agent. People tends to think about them as gunslingers and action oriented, but Radhika Apte, who will be seen playing the role of RAW Agent in upcoming web-series says it is far more reality.
“There is an impression that we all have about how they (Agent) function and how they actually function, which is totally different. So we’re trying to go more real. Impression is like they will be wearing suits and taking a gun out and stuff” said Radhika.
Radhika Apte, Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be making his debut in web-series with a show titled Sacred Games, based on the critically-acclaimed best-selling novel by Indian author Vikram Chandra and will be streaming on Netflix.
The series will be produced in partnership with Phantom Films and helmed by two of its key stakeholders – Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. The two filmmakers will unite their creative energies to come up with eight episodes of this show that will star Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles.
Radhika Apte expressed her excited about working with the cast and creative team. She said, “I’ve worked with Nawazuddin and Saif before so there is a little bit of history. So it was great. I’ve worked with Anurag before but never worked with Vikramaditya, so I am excited about that” added Radhika.
Radhika Apte will be seen playing the role RAW office names Anjali Mathur and also shared details about her role.
“She is a RAW Agent and very young. She has achieved a lot at a young age and comes from a very simple middle class family. She is very instinctive and it is very unique character because of her simplicity and intelligence” said Radhika.
