Filmmaker Punit Malhotra attended fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s X Chandon Limited Edition End of Year 2017 Bottles at Monday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Punit stated that he will start shooting of Student Of The Year 2 in January 2018.
First part of ‘Student Of The Year’ which directed by Karan Johar launched prominent faces like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malotra in Bollywood. It released in 2012 and after almost 5 years Dharma production is going to make sequel of the film with new director Punit Malhotra, talking about ‘Student Of The Year 2’, Punit said, “We will start shooting of the film in January in next year, once winter vacations starts, we will start shooting of the film and move in from their”.
Talking about casting of the film, Punit said, “As of now, there is Tiger Shroff in the film and rest of the announcements will happen in couple of weeks”.
Talking about Manish Malhotra’s new venture, Punit said, “Manish is very restless person. He doesn’t take sleep more than 4-5 hours a day so there is something or the other goes in his mind all the time so you never know what comes out”
“Manish is a family. All I can say is all the best to him. I know he has worked hard on this and he is quite excited. I hope it all goes really well for him and I am looking forward to great evening”
Punit lastly directed directed ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ (2013) which starred Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles.
First part of ‘Student Of The Year’ revolved around several alumni who reminisce about their final year at St. Theresa’s College and the events that shaped their lives.
‘Student Of The Year 2’ will be produced by Dharma Productions.
