PARIS REGION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (PREDA) PRESENTS HIGHLIGHTS OF FOOD-AGRI SHOWS IN PARIS REGION
The Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA) hosted a Parisienne evening over cocktails and dinner at the Starboard & Zodiac Grill , to announce their forthcoming food –agri shows in Paris .
A special preview evening was hosted in Mumbai at the Starboard, Taj Mahal Hotel by Mr. Jean-Luc Margot-Duclot, Senior Vice President, Paris Region Economic Development Agency and Mrs. Valérie Lobry, Managing Director of the Agriculture and Food Industry Division for Comexposium with Rashmi Uday Singh on 25th May 2010 to present the highlights of the Agri-Food Shows for the coming months in the Paris Region. Mr. Jean-Luc Margot-Duclot and Mrs. Valérie Lobry of the Paris Region with Rashmi Uday Singh and Chef Hemant Oberoi addressed the attendees .
Guests at the Paris Region (PREDA) cocktail included Zeba Kohli (who has recently attended shows by Paris region) and Rajesh Kohli, Simone and Fahad Samar Singh, Ravina Raj Kohli, Queenie Singh, Farhad Taraporevala, Rageshwari, Sabina & AD Singh, Ash Chandler, Karen Anand, Karishma Grover, Deveika and Suresh Bhojwani, Monica Vazir Ali, Schauna Chauhan, Meera Chauhan, Farzana Contractor, Ayaz Mittha, State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. Adaish Pratap Singh Kairon, Vithal Venkatesh Kamat,Remu and Naaz Zaveri, Vijay Kalantri, Dharti Desai, Vinod Advani etc. Rageshwari sand a song and was sportingly joined on the floor by Valérie Lobry. The guests lined up to meet Mr. Jean-Luc Margot-Duclot to discuss their gourmet experiences in Paris and agreed the evening was a lovely way to increase inter country joint ventures. Rashmi Uday Singh wore a lovely white saree accessorised with a statement potrait bag by Malaga and mingled with one and all.
Established in 2001 on the initiative of the regional council, the remit of the Paris Region Economic Development Agency is to assist companies wishing to locate to or showcase their products within the Paris Region, to promote the region internationally and to contribute to the sustainable growth of the region over the long term.
“India is a very important country and a strategic market place for France. Indian businesses have a significant presence at the Paris Region exhibitions with a high potential of development. The Indian food products and processed food has found a ready, wide-spread acceptance in France. A good deal of interest has been generated in terms of establishing joint-ventures between French and Indian companies”, said Mr. Jean-Luc Margot-Duclot.

Every year the region hosts more than 440 trade shows, welcoming 9.2 million visitors and some 100,000 exhibiting companies. Paris Region’s trade shows cover a wide-ranging, complementary offer spanning all business sectors.
