GOLDEN JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY OF THE FEDERATION OF WESTERN INDIA CINE EMPLOYEES
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is all set to celebrate the first leg of its Golden Jubilee Anniversary in grand style at the Andheri Sports Complex this Tuesday, May 1st. The second and final leg will be held in August 2012.
The occasion assumes even greater significance as it will also celebrate 100 years of the Indian film industry; a huge landmark for every person associated with Indian Cinema. Indian Cinema has come a long way since its early days of infancy, and remains an ever evolving dynamic entity that always has endeavoured to keep pace with the changing times. The event aims to recognise, appreciate, acknowledge and hail the efforts of many a hero of tinseltown, both in front of and behind the camera. It is these unsung heroes behind the scenes that actually form the backbone of a successful film, but they fail to get the due recognition that they deserve. It is also at this star studded event that their immense contributions will be honoured and celebrated.
The mega event will witness performances from leading bollywood personalities and also have the presence of industry stalwarts comprising of leading producers, directors, singers, actors and technicians alike that will add great lustre to the evening.
On the whole it promises to be an incredible evening headlined by power-packed on-stage performances by some of the industry’s biggest and brightest talents. The event is being managed and orchestrated by the veterans in the business of bollywood-Cineyug Entertainment.
Indian Cinema has had its shares of highs and lows but has always come out stronger in its endeavour to offer quality entertainment to a more intelligent audience across the world. At a time when our cinema is making waves globally, the 50 year Anniversary of the FWICE is an apt moment to toast a glorious past, a strong present and an even more promising future.
