Samraat Club Delhi Central organised an evening of Rajasthani Folk Music!!! Traditional Indian art, music and culture is very big and it’s nothing when it comes to promoting because its roots are deep enough and the effect is amazing enough. In India, culture of various states increases the impact much more. Spectacular effect of such regional art was seen recently at the India Habitat Centre in the capital with an evening of Rajasthani Folk Music organised by Samraat Club Delhi Central where the renowned artist Ustad Rehmat Khan Langa with his co-musicians mesmerised the audience.
Programme kicked-off with the welcome of chief guest Vani Tripathi by Samraat Suneel Singh (President, Samraat Club Delhi Central & renowned Yoga Guru) with a bouquet of flowers, which was followed by the facilitation of the artists by Vani. On this occasion founder members of Samraat Club Delhi Central; Anshuman Pandey, Pankaj Sukhija, Amitabh Upadhyay, Anil Kaul, Deepak Gupta along with other members were also present there.
From the beginning of the program, Ustad Rehmat Khan Langa made the audience sing to his tunes. His style of playing Harmonium and presenting the Rajasthani songs was spell-bounding everyone and his group was also on top of their performance who accompanied Ustad on Tabla, Sitar and Khartal, they infatuated Delhiites with the fragrance of Rajasthan. Amongst the accompanying artists’ one was seen creating soothing music through four separate wooden pieces i.e. Khartal. During the program, audience were seen enjoying each & every moment of the concert, it felt like that the audience had fascinating musical moments.
The evening of soothing traditional music reached the peak when Ustad Rehmat Khan Langa presented the song “Dama Dum Mast Kalandar Ali Da Pehla Number” followed by “Nimbuda Nimbuda Nimbuda …” after which the audience greeted him with a big round of applause. Apart from that on the special request by the audience, he also presented popular traditional number “Padharo Mhare Des Re…”. Presentation of these songs set the stage on fire. The magnificent program in the Amaltas Auditorium was worth a watch.
After the concert, Samraat Suneel Singh thanked Ustad Rehmat Khan Langa, Vani Tripathi and all others for making this magnificent evening a successful one. He said, our aim is to enhance the soothing effect of wonderful traditional Indian culture amongst the people and keeping in mind we have established Samraat Club Delhi Central (affiliated to Samraat Club International) and we will try to organise the same kind of programs full of traditional music from different regions of the country.
On this occasion, Vani Tripathi was quite excited, she congratulated Samraat Suneel Singh and other founder members for organising such an evening and said with Ustad Rehmat Khan Langa’s excellent presentation, I was completely lost in the colorful world of Rajasthan, I had so much fun during the program. The program was anchored by Samraat Pankaj Sukhija.
Samraat Club, a name whose aim is to keep the Indian culture alive amongst the people. The club was founded by Smrt Guruprasad Shinkre almost 35 years ago and since then it has reached Goa, Maharashtra & Karnataka in India and even in the U.S. it has spread the Indian Culture through its Clubs, now it has turned its direction towards the North India and installed their first ever wing in the national capital.
