Mini-screen, mega-thought… Deeya and Tony Singh heralded Ganpati pooja with a national integration movement. The small private do of the people behind DJ’s Creative that has to its credit Bhaskar Bharti, Choti Bahu, Jugni Chali Jallandhar and Nanhi Pari among others currently on air, saw little kids perform for the telestars items on national integration. Other than the bhajans, quawwali and even Urdu placards made their presence felt at the event.
Says Deeya, “my kids Jashan and Gia felt that we should have the celebration to signify a united India. The thought appealed to me and Tony and the kids and their friends got together to create fare for us adults and give us the message of united we stand against all forces including terrorism.”
Adds Tony, “The television industry stands for secularism and this seemed a perfect day to celebrate that.”
“Wasn’t that the very message behind Ganesh Fest by Lokmanya Tilak? That we fend off evil with the power of goodness!” quip Gia and Jashan.
Besides kids Gia, Jashan and their friends, Aamir Ali, Rukhsar, RIturaj, Rita Bhaduri, Rajeev Verma, Rajesh Khera, Avinash Sachdev, Rubina Dilaik, Vishaka and a host of other stars graced the event and enjoyed then fest fare to the fullest.
