His brilliant creations for distinguished clientele have lent a hand in his slow and steady rise as a film costumier. ROCKY S was also the first designer to design for both, celebrity and the common man.

• 1998 Rocky was selected to represent India at the prestigious IGEDO fashion fair in Düsseldorf – Germany.
• 2001 Selfridges of London showcased an exclusive In house fashion show with Rocky S
• 2003 Rocky showcased his ethnic line for the first time ever in New York to mark the launch of his couture label.
• 2004 Rocky was awarded the MTV Style Award for the most stylish designer.
• 2005 Rocky participated in the Milano Della Moda (Milan fashion week) which was held from 23rd September – 29th September 2005.

• 2006 Launch of Rocky S Home – taking his creativity a few steps further the designer stepped into the field of soft furnishings with his exclusive line of home linens.
• 2007 Launch of Rocky S Club – this marked Rocky’s tie up with Hakoba, one of the largest manufacturers of lace/embroidered fabrics to launch a stylish club wear prêt line for men and women.
• Launch of Rocky S Noir parfums, the first Indian Designer fragrance for men and women.
• Launch of ‘Les Bags’ by Rocky S- ‘Accessories’ by Rocky S, Les Bags is a complete range of trendy designer hand bags.
• Launch of Rocky S ‘kids’- This marked Rocky’s tie- up with the leading kids wear brand Giny and Jony to launch ‘Rocky S kids’…taking his creativity to the ‘most effortlessly stylish of them all’ this is a line of ‘fashion’ wear for children.
• Soon to be launched– The designer intends to keep adding to his ever growing repertoire of creative endeavors by launching exclusive jeans wear and eyewear labels. Rocky plans to add to the accessory line with stylish collections of jewellery and shoes.
Rocky has been awarded the MTV style award for the most stylish designer in the year 2004.
He has been acclaimed for his costume designing for several major film projects: these include GADDAR for actress Amisha Patel (set during the Indo Pak partition period),KRRISH for actor Hrithik Roshan(Super hero film, sequel to Koi Mil Gaya) and his most recent film projects; ‘Marigold’ and ‘Goal’ to name a few for which Rocky has styled not only the lead actors but the cast of the entire film.

The year 2006 also marked the designer’s foray into Home Furnishings. Rocky took his creativity a few steps further, ready to explore new avenues, the designer stepped into the field of soft furnishings with his home line for the first time ever.This collection of exclusive home linen offers a wide array of decorative cushions, runners, coverlets, quilt sets and a lot more.
6-Late 2006 Rocky set up for the launch of his exclusive ‘club’ line for men and women-Rocky S-CLUB. This is a very ‘urbane chic’ label targeted at the young and fashion savvy, its USP being providing stylish prêt at affordable prices.
This was yet another addition to all the other ‘labels’ under the Rocky S brand and also marked the designer’s tie-up with the brand ‘Hakoba’ one of the largest manufacturers/ exporters of crochet lace/embroidered fabrics.
7-Rocky S Couture-is the designers label for Hi-fashion, customized ethnic ensembles. A wide range of elegant sarees, stylish cocktail wear, ethno chic coordinates and trendy separates…the couture line speaks of ‘ethnicity with an edge’. Specializing in custom bridals as well as off the rack ensembles, this label was first established in the year 2003.There have been several major ‘showings’ of Rocky S couture, in New York as well as all major cities across India.
8- Rocky is also one of the first Indian designers’ to have his own FRAGRANCE, which according to the designer ‘is a reflection of his style’. “Fragrance speaks volumes through silenceâ€, it expresses what words can’t say and is an entirely diverse way of viewing his creativity. The eau de parfum is currently being retailed under the brand name “Rocky S Noirâ€.
9-To add to his already brimming repertoire, the designer has also launched his first ever accessory line. ‘les Bags’ by Rocky S is a complete range of trendy hand bags-from clutches to carry-alls and funky totes, it adds that much needed element of style to an ensemble.
10-Further unleashing his talents to the most naturally stylish of them all: Rocky S ‘KIDS’ with Giny and Jony(illustrious kids wear brand) has been launched at Lakme Fashion Week-Oct ’07. To complete his set of diverse labels, the newly launched Rocky S kid’s line is all about bringing out the innate attitude children possess. Complimenting the zeal and feisty personality of kid’s, it speaks of style with a very ‘fun’ element to it.
11-Soon to be launched (by end 2008)
To add to the ‘accessory’ line Rocky S will soon launch his own custom line of shoes and jewellery. An exclusive collection of ‘Eyewear’ and ‘jeans wear’ will soon be under the wing of the ‘Rocky S’ as well, as the designer continues to add new aspects to the brand.Rocky has come a long way, with over a decade in fashion and other avenues of creativity, but for him this is just the beginning.
