MYOHO BY KIRAN AND MEGHNA MADE MAGIC ON THE RAMP -From the design studios of Kiran and Meghna came the “Cryptic Ink” collection created for their Myoho label. Inspired by the Zeilige tiles which are terracotta squares designed with enamel chips on plaster; the Fall/Winter 2011 collection had that beautiful artistic touch seen on the walls, ceilings, pools, floors and tables of Morocco. Working with a mélange of dyes that created a nostalgic old world collection; the pair used fluid silks treated with discharged inks and added on amazing detailing. The look was understated with the Myoho label’s distinct touches.
The colour card was muted to match the season with black, ink, grey, beige, and bits of orange and rust added to the layered mix and match line which had as its base the black long sleeved leotard for a more striking impact. The layered empire line dress with asymmetric hemline, the twisted front printed dress, the Angarkha style multi print ensemble, the two tone printed pinafore, the sheer harem pants and tunic and the belted asymmetric panelled pinafore had a fluid feminine nature.
The one shoulder kimono cover and poncho, the short sleeve printed sheer shift, the front tie-up kalidar kurta dress, the trapeze top and skirt and the solitary sari in sheer gauze with black print; all had a perfect link and story that blended with the theme.
Here was a total wardrobe solution for the coming season from Kiran and Meghna for their Myoho label which will once again score high at the cash counter
