Leading music company Meet Brothers Music Co is releasing the launch album of a unique and extremely talented young singer, Tishika, which, with leading music directors Sajid-Wajid’s compositions and featuring some of the best instrumental musical talent in the country, is without doubt one of the most lavishly produced launch albums in India in recent memory.
Entitled Ocean of Love, and featuring the voice of the beautiful, highly talented singer Tishika, the album, mastered in London, features nine different songs across a wide variety of genres ranging from peppy up-tempo dance, disco, rock-n-roll, ballad and melodious romantic Bollywood kind of songs.
This extremely lavishly produced album, released by Meet Bros. Music Co., is being distributed by Virgin Records (India) Pvt Ltd. A lavishly produced video of the catchy dance track Salaama Salaama has been released, and a second video too is ready, but will be released later.
All the songs on Ocean of Love have been sung by the gifted and beautiful singer Tishika, who moved to India from Dubai, and has trained in classical vocal singing. Every one of the nine tracks on Ocean of Love has been composed by Sajid-Wajid, the extremely popular music director duo whose recent hits have included the most popular songs from blockbuster Hindi films like Partner, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Tere Naam, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, Hello Brother and Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, and more recently, with the hugely successful and popular songs for the Salman Khan– Amitabh Bachchan starrer God Tussi Great Ho. Their title song for the hit film Welcome too was very successful. Their most recent hit film has been the multi-starrer Heroes.

The young and spectacularly talented music directors Sajid and Wajid are often approached to create launch albums for aspiring young singers. Said Sajid, “Many singers approach us, but we are extremely choosy about whom we work with. So when we were approached to do a new album for an unknown singer called Tishika, we thought it would be a waste of time. But that was before we heard her voice. And when, out of professional courtesy, we met up with her, we were, to put it in one word, simply ‘floored’ by her voice, talent, and obvious training, and we decided to do the album for her.”
Says composer Wajid, “Tishika has a very microphone-friendly, playback singer type of voice which we felt could and will succeed in the film and television industry. She can sing every kind of song, and her wide variety is visible on the different tracks on the album.”
Speaking about the album and its title, Tishika said, “This album describes the various moods and feelings of a young girl in love, that’s why I decided to name it Ocean of Love. It looks at the various facets of love and the kinds of situations that a young girl, who has fallen in love for the first time, would find herself in. At the same time, it has extremely entertaining and foot tapping tunes and melodies, and I hope that music lovers will enjoy this album as much as we have enjoyed creating it. Normally, non-film Hindi pop albums have four songs and then four remixed versions of the same songs, making it a total of 8 tracks, but Ocean of Love has nine different songs, and not even one is repeated as a remix.
Says Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros. Music Co., “We are confident that Ocean of Love will prove to be extremely popular. Often, producers resort to remixes to make a not so memorable composition sound funky, but that is only artificially induced appeal, which soon dies down if the basic tunes are not strong and memorable. Sajid Wajid have done a brilliant job on this album, and it is without any doubt the best launch vehicle that a talented singer like Tishika could have got.”
