About 17th Lions Gold Award:- The Lions Gold awards, is an Endeavour of the Lions Club of SOL Mumbai, an ISO 9001 – 2008 Certified Club in District 323.A3, which, with 677 members is the second largest Lions Club in the World and with Lionism spanning 206 countries.

In its 17th.year this time, the Lions Gold Awards has been going from strength to strength with each passing year both in terms of participation as well as attendance of the glitterati and the cream – de – la – cream from various walks of life, who are recognized and honored for outstanding contributions above and beyond the call of duty in their respective fields, with the awards being broadly classified in three categories: Films, Television and General. The General category encompassing fields as diverse as sports, bravery, business, medicine, I A S/I P S etc.

The purpose of organizing this programmed is to generate funds to maintain the plethora of “Permanent Projects” undertaken by the Club, and since the past two years, the aim has been to generate funds specifically for our most prestigious “Permanent Project” yet, the ten crore worth Old Age Home coming up on seven acres of sprawling pristine land at Karjat, and having top notch Bollywood Celebrity Ms. Priyanka Chopra as Brand Ambassador.

Over the years, the Lions Gold Awards have been accorded sheen and class thanks to the presence of top – of – the line celebrities from the worlds of film and television and renowned personalities from different strata of Society.

We have had doyens of the ilk of Mr. Yash Chopra, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Mr. Dharmendra, Mr. Samlan Khan, etc. adding their unique and irrepressible charm to our endeavors in the past and this year, as of now Mr. Hritik Roshan, Mr. Ajay Devgn, Mr. Akshay Kumar and Ms. Katrina Kaif are likely to be present and many more celeb awarders and awardees from various fields
